Local Readiness checks the saved article for practical publishing essentials, including its title, content, excerpt, featured image, editorial stage, and checklist completion. It runs locally and does not require AI.

Strive Pro is distributed separately. Its executable features are not included in this WordPress.org package, and Strive Free remains fully functional without purchasing or activating Pro.
Focused on articles
Strive 2 manages the built-in WordPress Posts type. Pages, products, and custom post types remain untouched and do not appear in active Strive workflows. If an earlier Strive version stored metadata for those content types, that historical metadata is preserved during the update.
External Services
Strive includes the Freemius WordPress SDK for optional usage insights, account management, purchases, licensing, and updates for the separately distributed Pro plugin.
Freemius displays a consent screen. You may skip it and continue using every feature included in Strive Free. If you opt in, Freemius may receive basic profile, website, and product information and—if separately permitted—information about installed themes and plugins. Consent can be changed later from the WordPress Plugins screen or the Strive Account screen.
Purchasing or activating the separately distributed Pro plugin communicates with Freemius because Freemius provides its billing, licensing, account, and update services.

Strive Free’s Calendar, Pipeline, checklists, onboarding, settings, diagnostics, and Local Readiness screens use assets packaged with the plugin. Freemius account and purchase flows may communicate with Freemius and load its service assets when those flows are opened or used.
Privacy
Article titles, article bodies, editorial notes, checklist text, and Local Readiness results remain in WordPress when using Strive Free. Strive’s Site Health information intentionally excludes post titles, notes, checklist text, provider credentials, and license details.
The Freemius communication described above occurs only according to the consent and account choices presented to the user. Site owners remain responsible for describing installed plugins and services in their own privacy notice where required.
Development
Human-readable JavaScript, Gutenberg, and Sass source is included in the plugin’s source-code directory. Release assets are compiled with esbuild and Dart Sass. Runtime assets are bundled locally.
