WordPress tag finder for faster, consistent post tagging
Taglio – Smart Tag Finder helps you find existing WordPress tags in the post you are editing. Scan your current article title and content, review matching tag names and their occurrence counts, then select the tags you want to add. It is a practical tag suggestion tool for writers who want to reuse an established tag library while keeping control over each article’s tags.
As a blog grows, remembering every registered tag becomes difficult. A review might mention a product, a tutorial might reference a tool, and a news article might include several familiar topics. Taglio compares those words with your site’s existing post tags so that you can find relevant candidates without repeatedly searching the full tag list.
Find existing tags in the title and content
Start a scan from the Taglio box in the post editor. Taglio reads the current editor text, including unsaved edits, and looks for registered tag names in the title and body. Tags with no published posts are included in the search as well.
Each result shows the tag name and the number of matches. Results are ordered by occurrence count, with names used to sort ties. These counts help you review the results; they are text matches, not a relevance score or an SEO score. Select only the tags that describe the article appropriately.
Keep control of your WordPress tags
Search existing post tags instead of inventing new keywords.
Review candidates before adding them to the article.
Add selected tags while retaining tags already assigned in the editor.
Save or update the post through the normal WordPress workflow.
Scan again after editing your title or content.
Taglio does not automatically publish a post, save a scan result, rename your tags, or reorganize your tag archive pages. Adding candidates updates the editor; the post still needs to be saved or updated to keep those changes.
Support for block and classic post editors
Use Taglio from its meta box on the standard WordPress post editing screen. In the block editor, selected existing tag IDs are added to the post’s tags. In the classic editor, selected tag names are passed to the standard WordPress tag input.
The plugin is designed for ordinary posts and the built-in post tag taxonomy. It does not provide bulk tagging, category suggestions, custom taxonomy scanning, or a site-wide content audit. Its stylesheet and script load on post editing screens, rather than on public-facing pages.
Multilingual tag matching and display languages
Tag matching is case-insensitive. Latin letters and numbers at the edges of a tag are checked against neighboring characters to reduce matches inside longer Latin words. For example, the tag “art” should not be suggested simply because an article contains “party”. Japanese, Chinese and Korean tag names can be found within continuous text.
Matching uses the registered tag name, not its slug. Taglio does not infer synonyms, translate keywords, or understand whether a mention is central to the article. Please review short tags and ambiguous words before adding them.
The interface supports English, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Go to Settings > Taglio to select a display language, or use Auto to follow the WordPress administration language. The description on the Plugins screen follows the WordPress administration language independently.
Local tag discovery without an external AI service
Scanning takes place on your WordPress server using the editor text and your registered tags. No external AI account or API key is required, and Taglio does not send article text to an external tag analysis service. You can use it when preparing drafts as well as when updating published articles.
The plugin includes optional links to the developer’s Patreon pages. Following those links opens an external website; those pages are not required for the built-in tag finder.
Who is Taglio for?
Taglio is useful for personal blogs, review sites, tutorial libraries and editorial teams that already maintain a set of WordPress tags. It can help authors rediscover previously registered tags and reduce the manual work of checking which tag names appear in an article.
For an editorial or SEO workflow, Taglio supports consistent tag selection and content organization. It does not change search-engine metadata, generate structured data, control indexing, or guarantee higher search rankings. Choose useful tags for readers rather than adding every detected match.

タイトル・本文をスキャンして、候補と出現回数を確認
投稿編集画面のTaglioボックスから検索を実行すると、現在のタイトルと本文を読み取り、登録済みタグの名前が含まれているかを確認します。保存前の編集内容も検索対象になるため、記事を書きながらタグ候補を確認できます。まだ投稿に使われていない登録済みタグも対象です。
検索結果にはタグ名と出現回数を表示し、出現回数の多い順に並べます。同じ回数の場合は名前で並べ替えます。この数字は文字列の一致回数であり、記事との関連性やSEO効果を評価する点数ではありません。内容を確認し、読者にとって役立つタグを選んでください。
既存タグを活用し、必要なものだけを追加
WordPressに登録済みの投稿タグから候補を検索します。
検索結果を確認し、追加するタグを自分で選択できます。
編集画面ですでに設定されているタグを残したまま追加できます。
タイトルや本文を書き直した後に、もう一度検索できます。
最後は通常のWordPressの操作で投稿を保存・更新します。
Taglioは、新しいキーワードを推測してタグを自動生成する機能ではありません。また、検索しただけでタグを保存したり、投稿を自動公開したりすることもありません。「選択したタグを追加」を押すと編集画面に反映されるため、その後に投稿を保存・更新してください。既存タグの名前やタグアーカイブの構成を変更する機能もありません。
ブロックエディターとクラシックエディターに対応
WordPressの通常の投稿編集画面に表示されるTaglioボックスから利用できます。ブロックエディターでは既存タグのIDを使って追加し、クラシックエディターではWordPress標準のタグ入力欄を通じて追加します。
対象は通常の「投稿」と標準の投稿タグです。複数記事への一括タグ付け、カテゴリーの提案、カスタムタクソノミーの検索、サイト全体のSEO診断は行いません。TaglioのCSSとJavaScriptは投稿編集画面で読み込まれ、公開ページ用の表示機能は追加しません。
日本語のタグ検索と、10言語の表示設定
英字の大文字・小文字を区別せずに検索します。英字や数字がタグの先頭・末尾にある場合は、隣接する文字を確認し、別の英単語の一部分を誤って候補にしにくくしています。たとえば「art」というタグは、「party」という単語に含まれるという理由だけでは候補になりません。日本語・中国語・韓国語のタグ名は、スペースで区切られていない文章からも検索できます。
照合に使うのはタグの名前であり、スラッグではありません。同義語の推測、キーワードの翻訳、記事の意味を理解した関連性の判定は行いません。短いタグ名や複数の意味を持つ言葉は、結果を確認してから追加してください。
表示言語は、日本語・英語・スペイン語・ドイツ語・フランス語・イタリア語・ポルトガル語・韓国語・簡体字中国語・繁体字中国語に対応しています。「設定」→「Taglio」から選択でき、「自動」ではWordPressの管理画面の言語に合わせます。プラグイン一覧の説明文は、Taglio独自の言語設定とは別に、WordPressの管理画面の言語に合わせて表示します。
外部AIサービスやAPIキーは不要
検索は、ご自身のWordPressサーバー上で、編集中の文章と登録済みタグを使って行います。外部AIサービスへの登録やAPIキーの準備は不要で、タグ分析のために記事本文を外部サービスへ送信しません。公開済みの記事の見直しだけでなく、下書きの作成中にも利用できます。
プラグインには開発者のPatreonページへの任意のリンクがあります。リンクを開くと外部サイトへ移動しますが、標準のタグ検索機能を利用するためにアクセスする必要はありません。
タグ管理と記事作成の作業を効率化
Taglioは、すでにタグを運用しているブログやメディアで、既存タグの見落としを減らし、一貫したタグ選択を進めるための補助ツールです。複数の執筆者が記事を作成するサイトでも、登録済みのタグを再利用するきっかけとしてお使いいただけます。
SEOを意識した記事整理にも活用できますが、検索順位の上昇を保証するものではありません。メタ情報の編集、構造化データの生成、インデックス設定の変更などは行いません。候補をすべて追加するのではなく、記事の内容を適切に表すタグを選ぶことをおすすめします。
