Multimedia Embedder 是一款外掛，允許使用者像 oEmbed 一樣嵌入多媒體，但具有HTML樣板系統的方便，每個網站至少有一個樣板，例如 Flickr 將有兩個樣板（照片和影片）。使用者將完全控制 HTML 樣板，例如 YouTube 樣板可修改為將 YouTube 嵌入 JW Player 中而非使用 YouTube 預設播放器。
此外掛還利用 HTML DOM 抓取與媒體相關的 Meta 標籤和其他重要資料，如果資料不足，則會作為最後的手段使用 oEmbed 中的資料，所有收集的資料都會存儲到數據庫中以實現最大的速度和效率。
此外掛擴展了 WordPress Embed，因此以與 oEmbed 相同的方式嵌入，需要 PHP 5.3 或以上版本。

Multimedia Embedder is plugin that allows user to embed multimedia just like
oEmbed, but with the added convenient of an HTML template system, each site has
at least one template each for example Flickr will have two templates (photo
and video). The users will get full control of the HTML template, for example
the YouTube template can be modified to embed YouTube into JW Player rather than
using YouTube default player.
This plugin also utilise HTML DOM to fetch Meta tag and other vital data about
the media in question, if there is not enough data it will use the data from
oEmbed as the last resort, all the collected data will get stored to the
database for maximum speed and efficiency.
This plugin extends on WordPress Embed, so therefore it embedded the same way as
oEmbed and requires PHP 5.3 and above.
