Instant Schema generates Schema.org structured data (JSON-LD) for your site automatically. This plugin does exactly one thing: it adds the Instant Schema loader script to your site’s
, using the Site ID from your Instant Schema dashboard.Everything else — which schema is generated, when it updates, and whether it’s live — is managed in the Instant Schema dashboard, not in WordPress.

What this plugin does
Adds one settings field: your Site ID.
Verifies the Site ID with Instant Schema when you save it.
Outputs the loader script tag in wp_head once a Site ID is saved.
Shows a connection status: Connected, Site ID not recognized, or not verified.
Links back to your Instant Schema dashboard.
What this plugin does not do
It does not edit, preview, or generate any structured data itself.
It does not add a second settings screen, a dashboard widget, or any admin-wide notices.
It does not modify or suppress structured data from any other plugin.
Compatibility with SEO plugins
Many SEO plugins (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO) already output their own JSON-LD for things like breadcrumbs, articles, and products. Instant Schema’s markup is generated separately and can overlap for some schema types. If a supported SEO plugin is detected active, this plugin shows a one-line, non-blocking notice on its own settings page (Settings → Instant Schema) — nothing is shown elsewhere in wp-admin, and nothing about your SEO plugin’s output is changed.
External services
This plugin connects to the Instant Schema API (instantschema.app), which is required for the plugin’s core purpose — structured data for your site is generated and served by that service, not by this plugin.
What is sent, and when: When you save a Site ID in Settings → Instant Schema, the plugin sends that Site ID, a fixed source value of wordpress, and the plugin version to https://api.instantschema.app/v1/integration-ping. This does two things: your Instant Schema dashboard shows the integration as configured without waiting for the next scheduled site crawl, and the response verifies the Site ID so the settings page can show Connected / not recognized. The request has a 3-second timeout and fails open — if the service is unreachable, your setting is still saved and the status simply shows as not verified.
