Image AI Labels marks AI-generated images on your WordPress website with a clearly visible label (“AI-generated” / “KI-generiert”) – helping you prepare for upcoming legal labeling requirements for AI content.
Beta version: This plugin is currently in beta. If you notice a bug or have feedback, please contact us directly at [email protected] rather than only leaving a review.
The free version reliably labels all standard images in your posts and pages. Does your theme use complex CSS background images or a page builder like Elementor? Then check out our Pro plugin below.
How it works:
Open the media library (list view) – you will find a new “AI Label” column there.
Check the box for every AI-generated image.
The label automatically appears wherever the image is displayed on your website.

Custom label text in German and English (automatically selected based on the site language)
Adjustable font size
Adjustable label size/padding
Adjustable background opacity
Live preview in the settings screen

Works with WooCommerce product images (shop archive, product page, images loaded via AJAX)
This plugin does not connect to any external service and does not transmit any data.
