Usage
As a Widget:
1. Go to Appearance → Widgets
2. Drag “FixQuotes Quote of the Day” to your sidebar
3. Select your preferred display type
4. Save
As a Shortcode:
[fixquotes_qotd type=”text_image”]
Available types: text, image, text_image
As a Gutenberg Block:
1. Edit a page or post
2. Click + to add a block
3. Search for “FixQuotes Quote of the Day”
4. Configure display options in the block sidebar
Privacy Policy
This plugin connects to FixQuotes.com to retrieve quote data:
Data Retrieved: Quote text, author name, author URL, quote image URL
Data Sent: No visitor data. The request carries only WordPress’ standard user agent, which includes your site’s address
Data Storage: Quotes are cached locally using WordPress transients, plus one option holding the most recent quote as a fallback
Third-Party Service: FixQuotes.com – Privacy Policy
Quote images are loaded by your visitors’ browsers directly from the FixQuotes CDN, which means their IP address is visible to that CDN in the same way as for any externally hosted image.
No personal information about your visitors is collected or transmitted by this plugin.
