Filorium adds folders to the WordPress Media Library without moving your files or changing their URLs.
Organize your media with folders, drag and drop, favorites, multiple views, file previews, and more. You can also see your folders directly in WordPress’s Media Library and media picker.
Your files stay where WordPress stores them. Deactivate Filorium and WordPress works as normal.

Create unlimited nested folders.

Delete with confidence
See where a file is used before deleting it.
Filorium tracks references in post and page content and featured images.
Deleted files go to Trash first.
Empty Trash does not permanently delete files that Filorium knows are still in use.
Rename or replace files
Rename files while keeping their WordPress attachment and URL working.
Replace a file without breaking pages that already use it.
Import your existing folders
Already using another media folder plugin? Filorium imports your existing folder structure from it.
Filorium detects the media organizer plugins it supports on your site and lists them under Filorium → Settings → Import.
It shows what will be imported before anything is written.
The importer only reads the other plugin’s data and never changes it, so you can keep that plugin active while you check the result.
Safe by default
Filorium works in the WordPress admin and does not load on public pages.
Folder access follows WordPress user roles and capabilities.
Users only get access to the media actions allowed for their role.
Deleting the plugin does not remove your folders by default.
You can choose to remove Filorium’s data when uninstalling.
Filorium Pro
Everything in the free plugin works without a licence. Nothing is locked.

What Filorium adds to your site
Filorium stores folder information and activity in your WordPress database. Your actual media files remain in WordPress’s uploads folder.
Filorium uses:
Attachment taxonomies for folders and collections.
A small activity log.
A file usage index.
WordPress options for settings and user preferences.
Scheduled maintenance tasks for the activity log and usage index.
Deactivating Filorium keeps your data. Deleting the plugin only removes Filorium’s data if Delete everything if the plugin is removed is enabled in Settings → Data.
Files on disk
Creating and organizing folders does not move your files.
Only Rename, Replace and Empty Trash can change files in the uploads folder. These actions require confirmation.
Filorium does not modify files outside the WordPress uploads folder.
Source code
The Filorium workspace is a React application. The compiled bundle is build/index.js, and the human-readable source is included in src/ together with package.json and webpack.config.js. Run npm install && npm run build (@wordpress/scripts) to rebuild it.
React itself is not bundled; the plugin uses the copy that ships with WordPress.
The files in src/edition/ are small placeholder modules where the separate Pro add-on plugs in its own code. Nothing in this plugin is switched on by a licence.
External services
Filorium does not connect to external services.
There is:
No analytics.
No telemetry.
No licence check in the free plugin.
No remote fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images.
Everything Filorium needs is included in the plugin and runs on your own WordPress site.
The only external links are the links you choose to open from Settings → Licence, which point to filorium.com.
Filorium Pro is a separate add-on and handles licence activation through the Qevix Labs licence service. See the Pro add-on’s readme for details about the information it sends.
