Clutterscope Cleaner – Content Cleanup Pro helps WordPress site owners find and remove leftover clutter from deactivated plugins and unused content — safely, with backups, activity logging, and undo support.
Features:
Orphaned Shortcode Scanner — Detects shortcodes in posts that are no longer registered. Remove tags only or remove wrapping shortcodes and their content. Saves a post revision before every edit.
Orphaned Post Meta Scanner — Finds custom field keys not registered by core, active plugins, or ACF.
Unused Media Scanner — Identifies media not referenced in content, meta, widgets, customizer, or featured images. Moves to trash (recoverable for 30 days).
Orphaned Taxonomy Terms Scanner — Finds terms with zero associated posts.
Orphaned Database Options Scanner — Detects wp_options entries from deactivated plugins. Flags autoloaded options separately.
Activity Log — Last 50 actions with 24-hour undo support.
Weekly Scans — Optional WP-Cron scans with email summary to the site admin.
Whitelist — Exclude specific shortcodes, meta keys, or options from scans.
All scans use batched AJAX processing to handle large sites without timeouts. Results are cached for 1 hour.
Privacy: This plugin does not send data to external servers. Optional weekly scan summaries are emailed locally via your WordPress install using wp_mail().
