原文外掛簡介
Important news gets lost in a busy activity feed. A welcome message, a rule change or next week’s event is pushed down by the first few updates and most members never see it.
Pinned Feed Notices keeps those announcements at the top of the main activity feed, above every update, until each member dismisses them. Write a notice in the normal WordPress editor, choose which member types should not see it, and publish.
Requires: BuddyPress with the Activity component, or BuddyBoss Platform.
Works with: BuddyPress member types and BuddyBoss profile types.
Who it is for
🎓 Schools and online courses: welcome messages, timetable changes and events for students or teachers only.
🏢 Membership sites and intranets: policy updates, maintenance windows and new features.
💬 Communities and clubs: house rules, meetups and announcements every member should read once.
How it works
Go to Feed Notices > Add New in your WordPress admin and write the notice.
Optionally tick the member types the notice should be hidden from.
Publish. The notice appears at the top of the activity feed, and each member can close it with the × button.
Features
📌 Pin as many notices as you like to the top of the main activity feed. They show on the first page only, above the newest update.
✏️ Write them in the WordPress editor: text, links, images, and embeds for administrators allowed to use them.
👥 Hide a notice from chosen member types, so students and teachers, or free and paid members, each see the announcements meant for them.
✖️ Every notice can be dismissed. A member’s choice is saved to their account and follows them between devices. Logged-out visitors’ choices are remembered for a year.
🗓️ Schedule a notice with the normal publish date. It appears on the feed when it goes live, and drafts never show.
♿ Accessible: the dismiss control is a real button that works from the keyboard and is announced to screen readers.
⚡ Lightweight: the stylesheet and script load on the activity page only.
🧹 Clean uninstall: deleting the plugin removes its notices, settings and dismissal records, on every site of a network.
