This plugin connects your WooCommerce store to YouSend, a courier aggregator shipping worldwide from Latvia. One plugin gives your checkout real courier prices and turns an order into a shipment with a printable label in one click.
At checkout
Live rates for the buyer’s destination and the real weight and dimensions of the cart — UPS, FedEx, DPD, Omniva and other services available on your YouSend account.
Works with both the classic checkout and the new block-based checkout (Store API).
Optional markup percentage on top of your YouSend price.
Either always offer the cheapest suitable service, or pin one specific service.
In the order screen
Create the shipment from the order actions menu — recipient and parcel data are filled from the order automatically.
Get the tracking number and print the PDF label without leaving WordPress.
Idempotent by design: clicking twice never creates a duplicate shipment.
If the selected carrier refuses the destination, the plugin can substitute the next cheapest service within a price threshold you control; above the threshold it stops and lists the remaining options in the order notes, because the difference would come out of your pocket.
Compatibility
High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) supported.
Prices are quoted in EUR. Stores selling in another currency can supply a conversion rate via the yousend_eur_rate filter; otherwise the method is not offered.
Requirements
You need a YouSend account and an API key issued in the API section of the account. Shipments are picked up in Latvia; delivery is worldwide.
External services
This plugin talks to the YouSend Partner API (https://yousend.lv/api/production/v1/services/...). It is the entire purpose of the plugin: YouSend is the shipping provider that quotes prices, registers shipments with the carriers and produces the labels. No other external service is contacted, and nothing is sent anywhere until you enter your YouSend API key in the settings.
What is sent and when:
Rate calculation (GET /calculate) — when a buyer with products in the cart opens the checkout: destination country and postcode, parcel weights and dimensions. No names, e-mails or street addresses are sent at this step.
Shipment creation (POST /order-store) — only when a store manager clicks “Create YouSend shipment” on an order: recipient name and company, phone, e-mail and full address (street, city, state, postcode, country) from the order; parcel weights and dimensions; the goods value and currency and the product names as the customs description (required for international shipping); your pickup address and the requested pickup date. The request also carries an idempotency header made of the order id, the order key and an 8-character hash of the site URL — it prevents a double click from creating two shipments.
Label retrieval (POST /order-confirm, GET /shipment/{id}/labels) — when a manager requests the label for an already created shipment: the shipment id only.
The data is processed by SIA Global Trade (Latvia), the company operating YouSend, under the YouSend Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
