Requirements

A theme that calls wp_head (nearly all do; the plugin tells you if yours does not).
External services
This plugin connects your site to Xorventa, the service that provides the chat window. It is required for the plugin to do anything.
What happens on every page load: on every public page of your site, the plugin loads the Xorventa chat window script from https://api.xorventa.ai/widget/xorventa-chat.js. The script then fetches the chat window’s settings from https://api.xorventa.ai/widget/config (sending your chat window key) and records one anonymous load event at https://api.xorventa.ai/api/events/record: your chat window key, the chat window’s version, panel theme and display style. Nothing in the load event identifies the visitor. As with any web request, the visitor’s browser sends its IP address and your site’s address with these requests.
When a visitor points at or opens a voice-enabled chat window: it fetches a short-lived voice access token and its voice code in advance, so voice starts quickly. The microphone is used only when the visitor chooses to speak.
When your visitors use the chat: the messages a visitor types (or speaks, if you enable voice) are sent to Xorventa to produce Xora’s answers. What a visitor types or says is sent only when they use the chat.
When you connect from your Xorventa account: Xorventa calls two REST routes this plugin adds (xorventa/v1/status and xorventa/v1/configure), using an Application Password you create for it, to read the plugin’s state and set your chat window key. You can revoke that password at any time under Users → Profile → Application Passwords.
No data leaves your site otherwise. Neither the plugin nor the chat window sets cookies. The chat window keeps the current conversation in the browser tab’s session storage so it survives a page reload; the browser clears it when the tab closes. The plugin does not send your site’s content anywhere.
