This WordPress plugin adds everything necessary for an Italian e-commerce store on WooCommerce. It includes an option for collecting data required for B2B electronic invoicing, which is mandatory from January 2019.
For optimal use, it is recommended to associate it with a module for automatic invoice generation, such as Ewout Fernhout's free plugin, PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce, which allows for automatic numbering and printing or sending of invoices as PDFs.
The plugin can also be used without an automatic invoice generator. All necessary data is always recorded in WooCommerce orders and can be exported to any external management system.
The Tax Code or VAT number is added to the checkout page. The customer can choose between an invoice or a receipt. If they choose an invoice, the VAT number field is mandatory.
If the option for collecting electronic invoicing data is activated, a field for entering the recipient code or certified email address (PEC) is added for Italian customers who request an invoice. This field is hidden in other cases.
If the customer's billing address is outside the EU, the Tax Code or VAT number fields may be excluded.
The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin allows for defining invoice templates. This add-on also requires defining the receipt template as follows:

Copy the file “[plugins dir]/woocommerce-pdf-italian-add-on/template/Simple/receipt.php” to your theme (or child theme) and modify it as desired.
When issuing receipts, automatic invoice numbering is suspended and resumes only for subsequent invoices.

Per funzionare al meglio delle sue possibilità consigliamo di associare un modulo per la generazione automatica delle fatture, come il plugin gratuito di Ewout Fernhout’s PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce plugin che consente di numerare automaticamente le fatture e di stamparle o inviarle in formato PDF.
Il plugin può essere utilizzato anche senza un plugin per la generazione automatica delle fatture. Tutti i dati necessari vengono sempre registrati negli ordini di WooCommerce, e sono quindi esportabili verso un qualsiasi gestionale esterno.
Il Codice Fiscale o il Numero della Partita IVA vengono aggiunti alla pagina del checkout. Il cliente può scegliere fra Fattura o Ricevuta. Nel caso in cui scelga la Fattura, il campo Partita IVA è obbligatorio.
Se attivata l’opzione per la raccolta dati per la Fatturazione Elettronica, viene aggiunto un campo per l’inserimento del Codice Destinatario o della PEC del cliente, nel caso sia richiesta fattura e il cliente sia italiano. Viene nascosto negli altri casi.
Se il cliente ha un indirizzo di fatturazione fuori della UE, si può scegliere di escludere i campi di Partita IVA o Codice Fiscale.
Il plugin PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce permette di definire i template della fattura. Con questo add-on va definito anche il template della ricevuta:

Copia il file “[plugins dir]/woocommerce-pdf-italian-add-on/template/Simple/receipt.php” nel tuo tema (o tema figlio) e modificalo come credi opportuno.
Nel caso di una ricevuta, come ovvio, la numerazione automatica delle fatture viene sospesa e riprende solamente per le successive fatture.
