Voyant AI Chatbot is an AI chatbot for WordPress and WooCommerce that answers customer support questions and WooCommerce product questions from your own website. Connect it and it reads your published pages, posts and products, keeps what it knows up to date automatically, and answers visitors in your voice, pointing them to the right page with a real link. You never start from scratch, and there is no AI provider account or API key to manage. There is a free plan to start with.
When it can’t answer something, it tells you, and you add the answer in a click so it keeps getting better. And when you do want better answers, you are not on your own: the built-in Help assistant is an AI coach that knows your assistant. Ask it why an answer looks wrong and it looks at your settings and your visitors’ real questions, tells you exactly what to change, and drafts the fix for you to approve with one click.
A Voyant AI account is required. The plugin is the connector between your WordPress site and the Voyant AI service, which runs the assistant. Nothing is sent to Voyant until you connect your site.
What it does
Learns from your published pages, posts and WooCommerce products, and re-learns when you edit them.
Answers customer support and WooCommerce product questions with your own information. For shops it knows prices, stock and options, and can offer an add-to-basket link.
Safe to switch on: a newly connected site starts with the chat hidden from visitors, so you can test it privately first. Lead capture also starts off.
Test chat: try your assistant in the WordPress admin before visitors see it (it doesn’t use your monthly chats). Voyant may read test chats to improve the assistant.
Your own AI coach (new): the Help tab. Ask it anything, such as “why does it keep giving the same answer?” or “what should I teach it first?”. Unlike generic advice, it can see a summary of your own assistant (its settings, what it has learned, the questions visitors recently asked), so it tells you exactly what to fix, step by step. It can draft a fact or answer for you, which is only added when you press Add. Your past Help chats are kept for 90 days so you can read an answer again.
Teach it: add facts and answers your website doesn’t cover, and quickly write answers to anything it couldn’t answer.
Conversations and leads: read what visitors asked, correct any answer, and collect names and emails if you switch lead capture on.
Analytics: see how many questions are asked, when, and a plain-English summary of the topics people ask about, with suggestions for what to teach it next.
Look and personality: choose your logo, colours, welcome message, instructions and quick-question buttons. Earlier versions of the instructions are kept, so you can restore one.
Control who sees it: choose which user roles can use the plugin, and separately who can read conversations and leads. Hide the chat on chosen pages, on mobile, or delay it.
Takes account of a notice you put up (for example “delays in dispatch”) when answering.
Optional email updates: a weekly summary, or a note when it couldn’t answer a question.
Keep any page out of the assistant’s knowledge with a tick box.
Replies in the language your visitor writes in. It is strongest when your site content is in that language.
Works with pages built with Beaver Builder, because it reads your content the way a visitor sees it.

Voyant AI Chatbot is built to be handed over to clients:
One Voyant AI account runs several client websites, each with its own assistant (its own knowledge, look, conversations and leads). The Pro plan runs 5 websites, Growth 15 and Enterprise 40, and the monthly chats are shared across them.
Charge your clients whatever you like, including inside a care plan. They do not need a Voyant AI account.
A white-label version of Pro, Growth and Enterprise removes the “Powered by Voyant AI” line from the chat window.
New sites start with the chat hidden from visitors and lead capture off, so you can test privately first.
The Help tab answers “why did it say that?” for your clients, using a summary of their own assistant, so fewer questions reach you.
The chat loads as one small script, asynchronously, and runs in a separate frame so it cannot clash with the theme.

External services
This plugin connects your website to the Voyant AI service (operated by Voyant Websites Ltd, company number 16946394, 9 Bancroft Way, Wootton, Northampton, NN4 6BF, UK), which provides the AI assistant. The plugin does not contact the service until a site administrator connects it (Voyant AI > Connection).
Once connected, the following is sent to https://voyantai.co.uk:
Your site content, when you press “Update now” and when content changes: the text of your published pages, posts and products (including prices and stock), your site name, tagline and menus. Password-protected and private content, and pages you tick “Keep out” on, are not sent.
Your assistant settings (colours, welcome message, personality, quick questions) and any notice or answers you type in. If you switch on the optional email updates (weekly summary or “couldn’t answer” alerts), the email address you choose for them is also sent, and the service then emails that address.
A notice check, every few minutes while connected: the current site notice, only when it has changed (and every few hours while one is active).

On your public pages, the plugin loads the chat widget script from the same service (https://voyantai.co.uk/loader.js). When a visitor uses the chat, their messages (and any name, email or phone number they choose to give) are sent to the service so it can reply. A random visit identifier (kept in the visitor’s browser only for the tab session) groups a visitor’s messages into one conversation, and thumbs up/down ratings on replies are sent if the visitor clicks them. The service uses OpenAI to generate replies and to build the summaries and topic labels shown in the Conversations and Analytics tabs; personal details such as email addresses and phone numbers are masked before questions are analysed. Test chat: what you type in the plugin’s Test chat, and the assistant’s replies, are kept for up to 90 days so Voyant can see how the assistant is used and improve it. Only Voyant staff can read them; they are not shown to your visitors and don’t count towards your plan. Please don’t type personal or sensitive information there.
