Toolxon Sitemap Archive Lite adds a chronological content archive and a dedicated XML sitemap to WordPress.
The plugin is designed for websites that want a simple archive experience while keeping WordPress core sitemap functionality intact.
It does not replace, disable, or modify the WordPress core sitemap system.

How It Works
After activation, the plugin provides two dedicated endpoints:
Archive:
/toolxon-archive/
Dedicated XML sitemap:
/toolxon-sitemap.xml
The archive groups published content chronologically by month and year.
The XML sitemap provides URLs for the content types selected in the plugin settings.
WordPress core sitemaps remain available and are not disabled or replaced.
Archive Shortcode
Use the following shortcode to display the chronological archive on any post or page:
[txsma_archive]
The shortcode displays published content grouped by year and month according to the plugin settings.
Settings
Go to:
WordPress Admin → Toolxon Sitemap Archive
Available settings include:
Content sources
Taxonomy selection
Maximum sitemap URLs
Items per archive month
Excluded post IDs
Only supported public content types are used for sitemap generation.
Sitemap URL
The plugin generates its own dedicated sitemap:
/toolxon-sitemap.xml
Example:
https://example.com/toolxon-sitemap.xml
The plugin does not replace the WordPress core sitemap index.
Archive URL
The chronological archive is available at:
/toolxon-archive/
Example:
https://example.com/toolxon-archive/

WordPress 6.0 or later
PHP 7.4 or later
Pretty permalinks enabled for the best experience
Privacy
Toolxon Sitemap Archive Lite does not collect or transmit personal information to an external service.
The plugin stores only its own configuration settings in the WordPress database.
Security
The plugin follows WordPress security practices including capability checks, input sanitization, validation, and output escaping.
The plugin uses WordPress APIs and does not bundle third-party JavaScript libraries unnecessarily.
External Services
This plugin does not connect to or send data to any external service.
The optional “More Plugins & Features” link in the plugin settings page points to the Toolxon website:
https://toolxon.com/
Clicking that link is optional and does not transmit WordPress site data through the plugin.
Developer Notes
The plugin uses WordPress rewrite rules to provide its dedicated archive and sitemap endpoints.
If rewrite rules need to be refreshed after installation or configuration, visit:
WordPress Admin → Settings → Permalinks
and click Save Changes.
