PrayerPop is a prayer request, testimony, and simple chat plugin for WordPress churches, ministries, and Christian organizations. It helps you collect prayer requests and testimonies, answer visitor messages, and send notifications from WordPress. PrayerPop Pro adds public walls, testimony displays, Divi modules, and flexible Prayer Campaigns with prayer slots for things like 24h prayer, camps, Sundays, events, or focused prayer seasons.
Instead of asking people to find an email address, fill out a long form, or send prayer requests through scattered messages, PrayerPop gives your website one clear place for prayer. Visitors can submit a request from any page, and your team can review, approve, archive, email, and manage everything inside WordPress.

Prayer Campaigns let churches create focused prayer signups with time slots. You can use them for 24h prayer, church camps, Sunday services, outreach events, prayer weeks, or any situation where people need to sign up for a specific prayer time.

Privacy & Data Handling
Stored data
Submission content is stored as WordPress posts (prayer_request post type).
Metadata includes name/anonymous marker, submission type, public marker, moderation status, and an answered-prayer note when used. Testimonies remain in the private Submissions inbox in the free plugin.
When Chat is enabled, conversation records store the visitor name, reply email, message history, conversation status, unread state, and timestamps in custom WordPress database tables.
Plugin settings are stored in WordPress options.
Browser storage
Local anti-spam/cooldown tracking is used for submission protection.
Chat uses a secure, HTTP-only browser cookie to reconnect a visitor to their conversation. The cookie contains a random token; only a one-way hash is stored in the database.
Email notifications
Chat can email the configured site recipient when a visitor sends a message.
Chat can email the visitor at the address they provide when an administrator replies.
Retention cleanup
Retention period is configurable in General settings.
Older approved or answered items can be archived first and cleaned later.
Chat permanently removes conversations after the Chat retention period you choose, counted from the last activity. The default period is 365 days. Choose Keep indefinitely only when your own data policy calls for it.
Closing a conversation does not delete it.
Privacy requests
WordPress administrators can use Tools -> Export Personal Data and Tools -> Erase Personal Data to find or erase Chat records when a visitor gave an email address. Review the PrayerPop text in WordPress’s Privacy Policy guide and add it to your site’s privacy policy where needed.
Reverse-proxy hosting
PrayerPop uses the direct visitor IP address for rate limits by default. If your site uses a trusted reverse proxy, a developer can add its IP addresses or CIDR ranges through prayer_pop_trusted_proxy_ranges. Do not trust forwarded IP headers without that setting.
Uninstall
Plugin options, Chat tables, and scheduled cron hooks are removed on uninstall unless PrayerPop Pro is still installed and uses the shared data.
Submission posts remain in WordPress after uninstall unless you delete them manually.
