Pohela Boishakh（波拉·博伊莎克）是孟加拉人最喜慶的節日之一。這是一個非常難得所有孟加拉人都不論宗教、地點和身分一起慶祝的節日。Pohela Boishakh，就是孟加拉曆的新年首日，這是一個純粹的孟加拉節日。Pohela Boishakh 每年的4月14日慶祝，這一天也被稱為孟加拉新年。

Pohela Boishakh is one of the most joyous occasions for the Bangladeshi people. This is one of those rare festivals where all the Bangladeshis, regardless of their religion, location and status, celebrate together. Pohela Boishakh, the Bangali new year, signifies the first day of the Bangla calendar. This is a purely Bangali occasion. Pohela Boishakh is celebrated on 14th April every year. This day is also known as Bangla New Year.
