Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration (In Active Development)
PistonUI is building an AI-native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration designed to connect modern AI coding tools and IDEs directly with WordPress.
What is MCP? – Model Context Protocol connects AI assistants (such as Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, and Antigravity) to external services and environments.
Intended Capabilities – In future releases, the MCP system will enable AI agents to inspect widget schemas, query template layouts, and help design Elementor pages via conversational AI prompts.
Status: IN DEVELOPMENT (Not Available Yet) – Please note that the MCP server module is currently under active research and development. It is NOT yet available for public or production use. Public release details and documentation will be announced once development is complete.

TikTok oEmbed
What: The TikTok Videos widget may request oEmbed data from TikTok to retrieve a video thumbnail.
When: When a TikTok video is added without a custom thumbnail, at render time the server requests TikTok’s oEmbed endpoint to fetch metadata/thumbnail.
Data sent: The TikTok video URL you provide in the widget is sent to TikTok’s oEmbed endpoint. The request originates from your server.
Purpose: To automatically display a thumbnail image for the TikTok link.

Polar.sh License Validation
What: PistonUI uses the Polar.sh API to validate, activate, and deactivate premium license keys.
When: When a site administrator activates, deactivates, or verifies a license key from the PistonUI License tab, and once daily via a scheduled background check.
Data sent: The license key, your site domain (as an activation label), and the PistonUI organization identifier are sent to Polar.sh API endpoints. The request originates from your server.
Purpose: To verify that the license key is valid and manage premium feature access.

PistonUI Pre-build Templates API
What: PistonUI connects to pistonui.com to fetch a gallery of pre-build Elementor templates.
When: When a site administrator visits the “Pre-build Templates” tab in the PistonUI dashboard. Template data is cached for 6 hours.
Data sent: No personal data is sent. Only standard HTTP GET requests with optional category, search, and pagination parameters are made to the API. The request originates from your server.
Purpose: To display a browsable gallery of professionally designed Elementor templates that premium users can import.
