Money Nose reads your website and Google data, finds what is holding your website back, and ranks what to do next by impact. With this plugin, Money Nose can also make the changes you approve in Money Nose. It never changes your website on its own.
What it can change, only after you approve each change:
SEO titles and meta descriptions (in Yoast SEO or Rank Math when you use them)
Alt text for images in your posts and pages
One sentence with an internal link, added to the end of an existing paragraph
Broken internal links, pointed at the right page or removed (the words stay)
A page headline, or a short piece of button or link text
A page Money Nose wrote for you, saved as a draft. It is published only when you approve it in Money Nose, and can be taken back to draft.
It never deletes content and never changes prices, products, legal pages, plugins, themes, users or settings. It saves the old value before every change, and every change is logged. You can undo a change from Changes in Money Nose, as long as the page hasn’t been edited since.
Once connected, it also counts visits on your server, so visitors who block scripts are counted too. Only daily totals per page are kept, for two weeks. It never stores an IP address, a cookie or anything about a person. Logged-in editors, bots, previews and IP ranges you exclude are left out.
With WooCommerce, it also sends daily sales totals, so Money Nose can use your real sales. It never sends customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses.
You need a Money Nose account to use this plugin. The plugin does nothing until you connect it.
External services
This plugin connects your site to Money Nose, at moneynose.com, a service run by Money Nose. Nothing is sent when you install or activate the plugin. Data is sent only after you paste your connection code from Money Nose and press Connect.
What is sent, and when:
When you press Connect: your site address, its REST API address, your WordPress and plugin versions, and which SEO plugin you use (Yoast SEO, Rank Math or none). This lets Money Nose check the connection.
Every hour, once connected: daily visit and page view totals per page path, for today and yesterday. No IP addresses, cookies or details about any visitor.
Every hour, once connected and only if WooCommerce is active: daily sales totals. These are paid orders and orders on hold, revenue after discounts and refunds (excluding tax and shipping), the products sold, whether a coupon was used, WooCommerce’s record of where each order’s visitor first came from, and each paid order’s number and payment reference. No customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses are sent. Anything that looks like an email, phone number or long number is removed from product names, sources and page paths first.
When you approve a change in Money Nose: Money Nose sends a signed request to this plugin, which reads the page concerned and makes only that change. The old value is saved so you can undo it.
Every request between your site and Money Nose is signed with your site’s own secret and is refused after five minutes.
