Privacy
Milky PopUp is designed with privacy in mind. By default, the plugin stores the following data locally on your WordPress server:
* Analytics Data: When a visitor views, dismisses, or interacts with a popup, we log the event. To protect privacy and assist with GDPR compliance, visitor IP addresses are irreversibly hashed before storage. We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics. We also record the visitor’s traffic source (e.g., ‘Google Search’), device type (e.g., ‘mobile’), and the page URL they were viewing.
* Lead Data: When a visitor submits a form through a popup, we store the information they explicitly provide (such as their Name and Email Address). We also store an irreversibly hashed version of their IP address for security and rate-limiting purposes (to prevent spam).
* Data Sharing: Milky PopUp does NOT send your leads, analytics, or visitor data to any external servers. All data remains securely in your WordPress database.
