External Services
This plugin relies on external services to provide its core functionality. By using this plugin, you agree to the relevant terms and privacy policies outlined below.
Google PageSpeed Insights API
Purpose: Fetches real-time Lighthouse 10 performance metrics (score, LCP, CLS, INP, FCP, TTFB, etc.) for your website.
When data is sent: Only when you click the “Refresh Analysis” button in the dashboard.
Data Sent: Your website’s public URL and your API Key (if provided).

Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com)
Purpose: Provides typography for the plugin’s admin dashboard interface.
When data is sent: When an admin user loads the plugin dashboard page.
Data Sent: Standard HTTP request headers (IP address, User-Agent) required by Google’s servers to serve font files.

Third-Party Script Delaying (Optional — User’s Own Scripts)
Purpose: The “Delay Third-Party Scripts” optimization feature rewrites script tags on your site’s frontend to load later (after user interaction). This affects scripts from these domains if present on your site: googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com, facebook.net, tawk.to, hotjar.com.
When this applies: Only when the “Delay Third-Party Scripts” toggle is enabled in the Optimization Fixes tab.
Data Sent: This plugin itself does not send any data to these services. These are scripts your site may already use. The plugin simply delays when your browser loads them.

MegaWix Technologies — Optional Site Diagnostics (Consent Required)
Purpose: Collects site diagnostics to help improve the plugin’s optimization logic and provide better support.
This is strictly opt-in: A welcome popup appears after activation with two options:
“Allow” — You give explicit consent and the following data is sent to https://www.plugin.megawix.com/.
“Skip” — No data is sent at all, now or in the future.
When data is sent:
On activation — once immediately after clicking “Allow” in the welcome popup.
On deactivation — once when the plugin is deactivated, but only if you previously chose “Allow”. A deactivation feedback popup will appear asking for an optional reason; this reason is also included in the data sent.
If you chose “Skip” — no data is sent on deactivation either.
Data collected with consent (Allow):
Site URL (site_url)
Site name (site_name)
Admin email (admin_email)
Plugin version (version)
WordPress version (wp_version)
PHP version (php_version)
Anonymized site hash — a one-way MD5 hash of the home URL (site_hash)
On deactivation only: selected reason (reason) and optional details (details)
Data collected without consent (Skip): None.

MegaWix Performance Monitor for Core Web Vitals is committed to full transparency:
* Anonymous Diagnostics (Strictly Opt-In) — If you explicitly click “Allow” in the welcome popup, anonymous, non-personal data (WP version, PHP version, plugin version, performance score, and a one-way hash of your site URL) is transmitted to MegaWix servers to improve optimization strategies. No email addresses, usernames, site names, or any personally identifiable information (PII) is ever collected or stored.
* External API (Required for Core Feature) — When you click “Refresh Analysis”, your site’s public URL is sent to Google’s PageSpeed Insights API. This is a necessary function of the plugin.
* No Passive Tracking — The plugin does not track site visitors, does not install cookies, and does not collect any data without your action.
* Local Storage — Your API key is stored securely in your own WordPress database and is never transmitted to MegaWix servers.
