Offer Early Bird shipping to customers in covered areas of Sweden, then manage bookings, labels and shipment tracking from WooCommerce.
ItsEd Connect Shipping connects your store to the paid ItsEd Connect service and your Early Bird carrier account. The plugin download is free; live shipping features require an active service entitlement and suitable Early Bird credentials. Check the service options before installing.
From checkout to shipment
Offer home delivery and customer-selected parcel lockers where your carrier agreement and address coverage allow them.
Check delivery availability for the customer’s address before offering a shipping method.
Configure delivery services and checkout prices for your WooCommerce shipping zones.
Use guided setup to connect your account, add sender details and review shipping readiness.
Book shipments automatically according to your booking settings, or manage booking from the order screen.
Download shipping labels and view tracking information alongside your WooCommerce orders.
Follow shipment progress in the shipments dashboard and resolve failed bookings from Needs Attention.
Create eligible return shipments and cancel bookings while the carrier still permits cancellation.
Include tracking information in WooCommerce emails and the customer’s order view.
The plugin supports classic and block checkout, as well as WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
Languages
The plugin has English source text and is fully internationalized, so its WordPress interface, checkout components and email text can be translated into any locale. Translations are contributed and delivered through translate.wordpress.org; WordPress installs them through the standard translation update system. WordPress chooses the interface language; WooCommerce controls the locale used for customer emails. There is no separate plugin language picker.
Carrier responses and service-generated messages may use their original language. Interface language does not extend the carrier’s delivery coverage.
Before you connect
You need:
WordPress 6.6 or newer, PHP 8.2 or newer, and WooCommerce 8.0 or newer.
A paid ItsEd Connect service entitlement and its activation key.
An Early Bird agreement, directly or through your logistics partner, with suitable API credentials and enabled services.
Accurate sender details and product shipping weights and dimensions.
HTTPS connectivity from your store to ItsEd Connect, and a store endpoint that the service can reach for shipment updates.
Parcel locker delivery requires both the recipient’s phone number and email address. Shipping availability depends on the address, parcel and services enabled for your account. This plugin does not promise delivery to every Swedish address or international shipping.

This plugin is a client for ItsEd Connect. The hosted service performs carrier API communication, shipment booking, label retrieval, shipment status checks and delivery of status updates back to your store. These operations require communication with external services.

Data is sent for these purposes:
Account setup and activation: the activation key, a stable installation identifier, store name, carrier credentials, selected carrier environment, sender profile, and the store’s webhook and integration health URLs are sent when verifying or connecting the account. Carrier credentials are held by the service; WordPress stores the resulting service API key and webhook secret.
Checkout coverage: destination postal code and relevant address and parcel details are sent when checking available delivery services, dates and parcel lockers.
Shipment and return handling: sender and recipient contact/address details, order references, parcel details and selected delivery options are sent when creating or updating the requested shipment operation. Phone and email are included where required for delivery.
Status and labels: booking, delivery and tracking identifiers are used to request labels, cancellations, returns and shipment status. The service sends shipment updates to the store’s webhook endpoint.
Setup assistance: contextual tips run locally, with a preference stored in the current browser session. Email reminders are a separate optional choice, off until an administrator explicitly enables them for the displayed recipient. WordPress may then send up to two setup reminders through the store’s email system. Readiness checks may query an existing ItsEd Connect connection. Enabling local tips does not enroll anyone in email or contact ItsEd support. Earlier automatically enabled reminders remain off until a new explicit email choice is recorded.
Integration health: the service uses the configured store endpoints and plugin environment/version information to identify connection and compatibility problems.
Error diagnostics: when remote error reporting is enabled, the plugin sends minimized diagnostic events such as error codes, request identifiers, plugin-relative error locations, and WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP and plugin versions. Reports are associated with the connected store account. Optional diagnostics default off and require an explicit choice in advanced settings. Earlier saved opt-ins without a current consent record are disabled and their buffered reports are discarded; re-enabling applies to future events. These reports are not anonymous.
Connecting the service is necessary for carrier operations. Optional error reporting is separate from the customer and shipment data required to provide those operations.

ItsEd Connect communicates with Early Bird on your store’s behalf using your carrier account. It sends the delivery and parcel information needed for coverage, bookings, labels, returns and tracking. Your selected environment determines whether carrier operations use the production or test service. Production bookings are live shipment requests.

ItsEd Connect uses SureCart to validate activation keys and manage service entitlements and store activations. This communication is performed by the service. You do not need to install the SureCart plugin on the shipping store to use this integration. Purchasing or managing a service subscription is separate from the shipment information sent to the carrier.
Source code and build tools
The directory package includes the readable PHP source under src/, JavaScript and stylesheet source under src-js/, the translation template under languages/, and the package manifests and webpack configuration used to build the browser assets.
JavaScript build: from the plugin directory, run npm ci followed by npm run build. Translation tooling is defined in package.json and scripts/plugin-i18n.mjs; it also uses the development dependencies in composer.json. Run composer install before npm run i18n:extract when regenerating translation source catalogs.
