Impex Rank SEO is a free, all-in-one SEO plugin for WordPress, built for classic search and for AI search. One dashboard gives you SEO titles and meta descriptions with a live Google preview, a connected JSON-LD schema graph (Organization, Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Product and LocalBusiness with opening hours), XML sitemaps, an llms.txt generator with per-crawler AI controls, a redirect manager with a 404 monitor, IndexNow, and a real-time content analyzer that scores every post for SEO and for AI search readiness (GEO). Every SEO module is free, on unlimited sites, with no account and no licence key. Moving from Yoast SEO or Rank Math? The built-in importer brings your titles, descriptions, focus keywords, redirects and settings across without overwriting anything.
It also includes an AI writer that uses your own API key (Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, OpenAI or Anthropic Claude) to turn a topic into an SEO-ready draft, with the meta description, focus keyword and FAQ schema already filled in. Two automations have a small free allowance, both resetting on the 1st of each month: the AI writer generates 3 articles a month, and One-Click Optimize repairs 3 posts a month. AI search: llms.txt, AI crawlers and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
llms.txt generator — /llms.txt is built automatically from your key pages and recent posts, each with its meta description, and keeps itself up to date. Write your own instead if you prefer. More about llms.txt
llms-full.txt — /llms-full.txt carries the full text of your pages and recent posts, with headings kept as Markdown, for AI assistants that read whole documents.
AI crawler controls — allow or block GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot, Bytespider, Meta and Amazonbot from one table. The screen tells you which crawlers train models and which power AI answers, so you can keep one without the other. Google Search and Bing are never affected.
AI search readiness (GEO) score — every post gets a second score for how quotable it is in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews: an answer-first opening paragraph, question headings, lists and tables, FAQ schema, concrete facts, depth and freshness. The dashboard lists the pages to improve first.

Schema markup (JSON-LD)
One connected @graph per page: Organization or Person (logo falls back to your theme logo or site icon), WebSite, WebPage, BreadcrumbList, Article / BlogPosting / NewsArticle (image falls back to the first image in the post), Product (WooCommerce price, stock, SKU and ratings), FAQPage from the FAQ builder in the editor, and LocalBusiness with address, phone, geo coordinates, openingHoursSpecification and extra branch locations. LocalBusiness is off by default: tick “This is a local business” in the setup wizard, or turn on Local SEO → Enable Local Business schema, then add your address and hours (one rule per line, e.g. Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00).
Social
Open Graph and Twitter/X Cards with per-post title, description and image overrides, a default share image and social profile links (used as schema sameAs).
Technical SEO
XML sitemap — index plus per-post-type and per-taxonomy sitemaps with images, a readable styled view, and automatic exclusion of noindexed content. /sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml and /wp-sitemap.xml redirect to it, so a sitemap you submitted from another plugin keeps working. HTML sitemap shortcode [impex_html_sitemap] for visitors.
301 redirects — redirect manager with 301/302/307/410, regex rules, hit counts, and automatic 301s when a published post’s slug changes.
404 monitor — logs broken URLs with hits and referrers so you can redirect them.
IndexNow — notifies Bing, Yandex and other participating engines the moment you publish or update.
robots.txt editor, breadcrumbs ([impex_breadcrumbs] and impexseo_breadcrumbs()), webmaster verification (Google, Bing, Pinterest, Yandex, Baidu), head cleanup, external-link attributes, table of contents, RSS footer and a .htaccess editor.
Image SEO — when you upload an image without alt text, its title (from the file name) becomes the alt text, and images WordPress prints from the media library get the same fallback. For images already inside your posts, One-Click Optimize adds the missing alt text.
Page speed — PageSpeed Insights scores (mobile and desktop) with Core Web Vitals, when you click “Check page speed”.
Works next to your old SEO plugin (and helps you leave it)
If Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework or another SEO plugin is active, Impex Rank SEO detects it and switches to compatibility mode: it stops printing a second title, meta description, canonical, schema and sitemap, so your pages never carry duplicates, while redirects, the 404 monitor, llms.txt, AI crawler controls, the analyzer and the AI writer keep working. The Yoast SEO / Rank Math importer copies SEO titles and descriptions (converting their template variables), focus keywords, canonicals, social overrides, noindex/nofollow, cornerstone and primary category, category and tag SEO, redirects (Rank Math, and Yoast Premium’s plain redirects), and optionally the title separator, homepage and post-type templates, social profiles and verification codes. Existing Impex Rank SEO data is never overwritten.

IndexNow (only when the IndexNow feature is enabled, which it is by default; turn it off on the dashboard): on publish/update, the URL of the changed content is sent to https://api.indexnow.org/indexnow so participating search engines are notified.
