Imganva SEO Images automates two repetitive tasks that happen every time you upload an image to the WordPress Media Library.
WebP Conversion
Newly uploaded JPG, JPEG, and PNG images are automatically converted to WebP using whichever image engine your server supports — Imagick is used first, GD is the fallback. You can set the output quality and choose whether to keep the original file alongside the WebP or replace it entirely.
SVG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, PDF, HEIC, PSD, and video files are ignored — the plugin only touches formats where conversion makes sense.
SEO Metadata Generation
When you upload a file named best-image-compressor-online-2026.jpg, the plugin automatically fills in the media Title, Alt Text, Caption, and Description as Best Image Compressor Online 2026. Hyphens and underscores are replaced with spaces, the extension is removed, and the result is converted to Title Case.
Each metadata field can be enabled or disabled individually so you only generate what you need.
What this plugin is not
This is not an image optimisation suite. It does not scan or modify your existing media library. It does not compress, resize, or serve images. It processes newly uploaded images only — the moment they arrive in your media library.
