ESM Consumer Evaluation turns a WordPress site into a practical consumer evaluation channel.
After activation, the plugin opens a guided dashboard with two primary setup paths:
Content Evaluation — evaluate WordPress Posts, Pages, Products, or other public content types. This is designed for news sites, journals, magazines, blogs, communities, and information sites.
Target Evaluation — create a dedicated evaluation target for a product, service, store, organization, campaign, public figure/public profile, or another subject. This is designed for stores, brands, service businesses, organizations, and target-focused evaluation sites.
You can use either path independently or use both together. Content Evaluation also lets you choose whether participation is limited to logged-in members or open to both members and guest visitors.
The plugin is built around three clearly separated layers:
Local Evaluation — collect 1–10 scores and optional reviews on your own WordPress site.
ESM IDX-ready Identity — attach an optional durable ESM IDX value so the same real-world target can later be recognized across participating sites.
Wider Reputation — show administrator-curated external reputation links and optional rating snapshots without mixing those external scores into the local or ESM Global score.
The primary feature set works fully without ESM Platform Core and without any remote service.
Korean (ko_KR) and English UI are included. A Korean WordPress site shows the Korean administration and frontend interface automatically; English-language sites use the English source strings by default.
If ESM Platform Core is present, the plugin registers as an Evaluation Provider for compatibility/shadow mode. Core remains the live evaluation owner. When automatic placement or the shortcode is used on a normal Core-connected post or page, the plugin asks the current Core Evaluation Provider to render one canonical form at that location instead of creating a second writer.
The optional ESM-compatible Global Network connector is disabled by default. No remote request is made until an administrator explicitly enables it, enters an endpoint, and performs an IDX search or statistics refresh.

Getting Started
After activation, open ESM Consumer Evaluation > Dashboard and choose the setup path that matches your site.
Path 1: Content Evaluation
Open Content Evaluation to evaluate WordPress Posts, Pages, Products, or another public content type. Select one or several content types and then choose a participation policy:
Logged-in members only.
Members + guest visitors.
You can also use [esmcoev_consumer_evaluation] for manual placement on selected content.
Path 2: Target Evaluation
Open Target Evaluation when the subject itself is a product, service, business, organization, campaign, public figure/public profile, content item, or another dedicated target.
Choose the target type, enter the public name, and create it. The next screen provides a ready-to-copy shortcode plus optional ESM IDX, Global statistics, and external-reputation controls.
For person-related targets, use public figures, public professional profiles, or profiles with explicit consent. Do not create evaluation targets for private individuals.
Shortcodes

Renders a complete local evaluation interface on standalone sites. On an ESM Core site where Core still owns evaluation writes, the shortcode delegates rendering to the current Core Evaluation Provider, so a selected post or page can display one canonical Core-owned form without creating a second writer.
Optional attributes: object_type, object_id, entity_type, and title.

Renders the local / ESM Global / external reputation comparison panel without an evaluation form.
Optional attributes: target_id, object_type, object_id, and title.
ESM Platform Core integration
ESM Consumer Evaluation can register itself with the ESM Platform service-provider registry using service key evaluation and provider ID esm-consumer-evaluation.
The first public release intentionally treats existing ESM Core installations conservatively:
ESM Core remains the live evaluation owner unless a future compatible Core explicitly enables and selects the external provider.
Core evaluation tables are not migrated, duplicated, or rewritten by activation.
Administrators can sync Core target metadata into the plugin’s IDX/reputation registry.
Automatic placement and the standard shortcode can delegate the visible form to the current Core Evaluation Provider while Core remains the writer.
Explicit standalone custom targets remain available without rewriting Core-owned evaluation entries.
Local/global/external metadata can be prepared without changing the existing Core evaluation writer.
This makes the plugin suitable for both standalone WordPress sites and a gradual ESM Core decomposition path.
External reputation references
Administrators can add external reputation references to an evaluation target, for example an official product page, Google review page, shopping-platform review page, or another public source.
Version 1.0.0 uses explicit administrator-provided links. It does not scrape external sites and it does not automatically call Google, shopping, or portal APIs.
If an administrator enters a rating snapshot, the plugin displays that source separately with its own scale. External ratings are never mathematically merged into the local or ESM Global score.
Optional external service
The plugin includes an optional connector for an ESM-compatible IDX and aggregate-statistics API.
This connector is disabled by default and has no default endpoint. The administrator must explicitly:
Enable the connector.
Enter the endpoint URL.
Perform an IDX search or global-statistics refresh.
Only then does the WordPress site send a request to the administrator-configured endpoint. A search request contains the search text. A statistics refresh contains the ESM IDX in the request URL. Version 1.0.0 does not automatically upload evaluation entries, names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, or review text.
Because the endpoint is chosen and configured by the site administrator, the administrator is responsible for reviewing that service’s terms and privacy policy before enabling it.
Privacy
For logged-in evaluations, the plugin stores the local WordPress user ID, score, optional review text, and submission time.
For guest evaluations, JavaScript creates a random browser identifier in localStorage. The site uses a one-way hash of that identifier for duplicate prevention. The plugin does not store the visitor IP address.
WordPress personal-data exporter and eraser integrations are included for logged-in evaluations. During erasure, review text and the local user identifier are removed while the score can remain as anonymized aggregate data.
The optional ESM-compatible Global Network connector is disabled by default and does not send data unless an administrator explicitly configures and uses it.
