原文外掛簡介

Disable & Manage Updates gives you control over WordPress updates and important admin settings from one dashboard.
Disable updates for WordPress Core, plugins, and themes, manage automatic updates, update checks and update information, and control comments, trackbacks, pingbacks, Admin Bar visibility, Admin Notices, plugin file editing, theme file editing, and troubleshooting options.
Disable Automatic Updates
Want to disable automatic updates in WordPress?
Disable & Manage Updates lets you control automatic update behavior for supported WordPress components from one place.
You can manage automatic updates for:
– WordPress Core
– Plugins
– Themes
– Translations
Use the global controls to manage automatic update behavior across your website, or use the available individual controls when you need more selective control.
Disable Plugin Updates
Need to disable plugin updates or control which plugins can update automatically?
Disable & Manage Updates provides global and individual plugin controls for supported automatic update functionality.
This gives you more control over plugin automatic updates without having to manage each setting separately.
Disable Theme Updates
Need to disable theme updates or control theme automatic updates?
Use Disable & Manage Updates to manage supported automatic update behavior for your WordPress themes, including available individual theme controls.
Manage WordPress Core Updates
Control supported WordPress Core automatic updates from the same dashboard.
If you want to disable automatic WordPress Core updates, you can manage the relevant setting without editing WordPress core files.
Manage Update Checks and Information
Automatic updates, update checks, and update information are separate controls.
Automatic updates determine whether supported updates can be installed automatically.
Check for Updates Automatically controls whether WordPress regularly checks for available Core, plugin, and theme updates in the background. This does not install updates.
Show all Update Notifications & Alerts controls whether WordPress update notifications, notices, badges, counts, and other update alerts are shown throughout the WordPress admin.
The Disable & Manage Updates dashboard continues to show its own update counts and version information so you can manage the settings even when WordPress update information is hidden elsewhere.
Disable & Manage Updates lets you manage these settings separately, so you can choose how WordPress checks for and reports available updates.
Manage Update Information and Notifications
WordPress can display update information through admin notices, alerts, badges, and other dashboard indicators.
Use Disable & Manage Updates to manage supported update notifications, notices, badges, and other update information separately from automatic update settings.
This means you can control whether automatic updates are enabled without automatically changing how available update information is presented.
Disable Comments
Don’t use comments on your WordPress website?
Disable & Manage Updates provides controls to disable comments and manage related trackbacks and pingbacks.
This makes the plugin useful for websites that do not need WordPress commenting functionality.
Manage Admin Notices
WordPress plugins and themes can display notices throughout the administration area.
Disable & Manage Updates provides controls for managing supported Admin Notices, helping keep your WordPress dashboard cleaner and less distracting.
Manage Admin Bar
Control supported WordPress Admin Bar visibility from the plugin settings.
This can help simplify the WordPress administration experience and control when the Admin Bar is displayed.
Manage Plugin and Theme File Editing
For sites where administrators should not edit plugin or theme files from WordPress Admin, Disable & Manage Updates provides separate controls to disable Plugin File Editor and Theme File Editor access.
These controls block the built-in editor screens and direct access to the corresponding editor endpoints. They do not disable normal plugin or theme installation, updates, or management.
Troubleshooting
If an update or admin setting does not behave as expected, another plugin, theme, must-use plugin, hosting configuration, wp-config.php, or custom code may be affecting WordPress behavior.
Disable & Manage Updates includes troubleshooting options to help investigate supported settings and identify possible configuration conflicts.
One Dashboard for WordPress Updates and Admin Controls
Instead of using multiple snippets or separate plugins, Disable & Manage Updates brings commonly needed WordPress controls together in one dashboard.
Use it to:
– Disable updates
– Disable automatic updates
– Disable plugin automatic updates
– Disable theme automatic updates
– Disable WordPress Core automatic updates
– Manage translation updates
– Manage background update checks
– Manage update notifications and alerts
– Disable comments
– Manage trackbacks and pingbacks
– Manage Admin Bar visibility
– Manage Admin Notices
– Manage Plugin File Editing
– Manage Theme File Editing
– Troubleshoot update and admin settings
Important: Update Settings Are Separate
Automatic updates, background update checks, and update information are separate controls.
Automatic updates determine whether supported updates can be installed automatically.
Background update checks determine whether WordPress regularly checks for available updates.
Update information controls how supported update information is presented through WordPress notifications, notices, badges, and other admin indicators.
For example, disabling automatic updates does not necessarily stop WordPress from checking for available updates.
Update behavior can also be affected by other plugins, themes, must-use plugins, hosting configuration, wp-config.php, or custom code.
Disable & Manage Updates cannot guarantee that its settings will override external configurations.
Requirements
– WordPress 4.1 or later.
– PHP 5.6 or later.
Important
Keeping WordPress, plugins, and themes updated is important for security and compatibility.
If you choose to disable automatic updates or other update functionality, make sure you have an appropriate process for reviewing and applying updates.
Update behavior may also be affected by other plugins, themes, must-use plugins, hosting configuration, wp-config.php, or custom code.
Disable & Manage Updates cannot guarantee that its settings will override external configurations.
