ClicAven URL Shortener connects your WordPress site to your ClicAven account to generate branded short links for your content, right from the editor.
Features
One-click short link generation from the post/page editor (Classic + Block).
Click counter visible inside the editor sidebar / metabox.
QR code generator inside the editor (PNG and SVG download, 128 – 1024 px).
[clicaven url="https://example.com"] shortcode with optional slug, plus qr="true" to render an inline QR code on the front-end.
Optional automatic shortening when a post is published.
Custom domain support if you have one configured in ClicAven (Pro+).
Cached API responses to stay well under your plan rate limit.
Internationalised: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese.
QR codes are generated client-side: no external request, no third-party tracking.
Requirements
A free or paid ClicAven account.
An API key (available on all plans, including Free — generate one from your dashboard).
PHP 7.4 or higher, WordPress 6.0 or higher.
External services
This plugin sends data to ClicAven (https://clicaven.com) only when you explicitly trigger a shortening action (clicking the button in the metabox, using the shortcode, or enabling the auto-shorten on publish option). Data sent: the destination URL, your API key (Bearer token), optional custom slug, and optional custom domain hostname. See the ClicAven Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
