ENGLISH: AutoTube scans over 100 million videos in the entire YouTube archive to find the best matching video. You can enter a search term or use an asterisk (*) to automatically scan your site for the best matching video, without having to specify any tags. Beginning with version 1.3, AutoTube can automatically insert videos without requiring a video ID. Simply activate the auto-display function in the admin section (Settings->AutoTube).
DEUTSCH: Mit AutoTube hast du Zugriff auf 100 Millionen YouTube-Videos. Ein einfacher Tag wie [autotube:U2 Musikvideos] würde zum Beispiel ein Musikvideo von U2 auf deiner Seite einblenden. Wer sich nicht für jeden Blogeintrag ein extra Keyword für die Suche überlegen will, kann auch nur einen Stern, also z.B. [autotube:*], verwenden. Dann sucht das Programm automatisch nach dem bestpassenden Video. Im Administrationsbereichs Eures Blogs könnt ihr nebenbei einstellen, ob für jeden Blogbeitrag automatisch ein Video eingeblendet werden soll. So habt ihr für jeden Beitrag ein Video, ohne dass ihr etwas machen müsst.
Copy the file "autotube.php" to your server using an FTP program and place it in the directory /wp-content/plugins/
Log in to your WordPress blog and click on "Plugins" in the menu. All installed plugins should now appear. Click on "Activate" next to the AutoTube plugin.
You can now either make settings for all your pages under Settings->AutoTube or simply add a tag in the form [autotube:britney spears] on specific pages (just use the editing mode when creating a new post). The video will appear wherever you insert the tag. You can use other keywords instead of "britney spears".
Examples:
[autotube:britney spears|400] -> Searches for a video of Britney Spears and displays a video player with a width of 400 pixels
[autotube:britney spears|400|off] -> Same as above, but the video won't play automatically
[autotube:britney spears|400|on|off] -> Same as above, but the video will play automatically and with no sound
NOTE:
These tags only work if you uncheck "Auto-Display Videos" under Settings->AutoTube. Otherwise, a video will be displayed on every page, based on the global settings of that page.
