Author Category Revival allows site administrators to control which categories each author can use when writing posts. Administrators can assign specific categories to authors and set which categories are checked by default in the post editor. Authors no longer have to worry about managing categories or figuring out which ones to select.
What the author sees:
Only sees categories assigned by the administrator
Sees pre-checked categories as configured by admin
Can change checked categories within allowed options
Cannot see or access categories not assigned to them

How it works:
Administrator goes to Users → All Users
Edits an author profile (cannot restrict own account)
Finds “Author Categories Management” section
Selects allowed categories for this author
Clicks “Validate your choice” to update the preview
Checks default categories in the preview (optional)
Saves changes with “Update Account”
