ACS Freight Calculator puts a truck freight rate estimator on any page or post. It uses the standard freight rates (“標準的な運賃”) that Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism notified in March 2024 and that came into force on 1 June 2024.

This plugin is complete on its own. Nothing in it is locked, metered, time-limited or reserved for a paid tier, and it never asks for a licence key or an account.
What it calculates
Ten transport bureaus — Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Hokuriku-Shinetsu, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu and the Okinawa General Bureau, each with its own rate table. Okinawa’s own distance steps are handled correctly.
Four vehicle classes — light truck (2 t), medium truck (4 t), heavy truck (10 t) and trailer (20 t).
Distance-based fares — table lookup with linear interpolation between steps, plus the per-20 km band above 200 km and the per-50 km band above 500 km.
Time-based fares — the eight-hour base fare plus charges for extra hours and for distance beyond the included kilometres.
Loading and unloading charges — by hand or by forklift, billed in 30-minute slots with the higher rate applied past two hours.
Waiting time charges — the first 30 minutes are free, the rest is billed in 30-minute slots.
Surcharges — night and early morning (22:00 to 05:00), holidays, winter, and eight classes of special vehicle from refrigerated bodies to high-pressure gas carriers.
Fuel surcharge — price-band calculation from the diesel price per litre, the distance driven and the vehicle’s fuel efficiency.
Expressway tolls — entered as an actual cost.
Consumption tax — subtotal, tax and total are shown as separate lines, with a configurable rate.
A full breakdown — every line can be expanded to show how the figure was reached.
Privacy and performance
No external requests. Every rate table is bundled with the plugin. The calculator never calls a remote server, and the plugin sends nothing anywhere.
No tracking and no accounts. The plugin stores one option row and nothing else. It creates no database tables and no cookies.
No jQuery and no external libraries. The calculator is written in plain JavaScript, and its stylesheet and script load only on pages that actually contain the calculator.
